Earlham High School Wrestling
Earlham High School re-established its wrestling program in 2021. What began with just eight athletes has quickly grown into a thriving program that now includes a 20-member boys team and a growing girls program.
The 2025–26 season marked a historic step forward for the Cardinals. Earlham crowned District Champions, finished Regional Dual Runner-Up, and sent eight wrestlers to the IHSAA State Championships. At the state tournament, the Cardinals produced three state place winners, including two state finalists, highlighting the rapid rise of the program in just a few short years.
In 2025, Earlham also opened a new wrestling facility, made possible through the support of the school and the Earlham community. The new space has helped elevate the program and reflects the strong commitment to building a lasting tradition.
Prior to its revival, Earlham wrestling also had a proud history. The program originally competed from 1980–1987 and again from 2000–2004. During the 1990s, Earlham wrestlers competed in a sharing agreement with Dexfield, and later with West Central Valley from 2004–2009. In the years that followed, Earlham wrestlers competed in a consolidation with Van Meter before the decision was made to bring the program back to Earlham in 2021.
