As a junior in 2025-26, he went 36-2 on varsity with 23 falls and 7 tech falls. He scored 58 takedowns, 10 escapes, 1 reversal and 26 near falls. He placed at 6 varsity tournaments, winning titles at the District Championships, the WCAC Tournament, the Charger Invite, the North Tama Invite and the Winterset Invite.
He has qualified for state three times (2024 at 106, 2025 at 120 and 2026 at 126), finishing 2nd in 2026 as a state finalist.
Max is also a three-time Fargo national qualifier.
